trade agreement
1. GENERAL
Community Connect, LLC (CC) is an association of businesses and professionals who have joined together to do business among themselves through the organized system, which is regulated by the record-keeping and administrative services of CC, and through the medium of Community Connect trade dollars. CC functions as a clearinghouse for the transactions of the exchange membership.
2. SALES AND PURCHASE PROCEDURES
All sales and purchases must be 100% CC trade dollars unless seller's account balance exceeds $5,000 and the member previously requested CC that he/she be placed “on standbyâ€.

Buyer must always identify himself as a CC member before making a purchase. This policy is to avoid disputes over bargaining for best cash price then attempting to pay that sale price in trade. The “golden rule†is appropriate in CC transactions. Treat others as you would have them treat you.

Member should make their sales and purchases with the same diligence they use for cash transactions. If the seller requires a 50% deposit for cash transactions, the same should apply to CC transactions.

Seller must sell at regular retail or advertised prices. Excessive charging is a violation of trade policy and therefore CC membership.

Gratuities must be paid in cash.
3. ACCOUNTING PROCEDURES
All individual users of CC trade cards and the company in whose name the card was issued assume joint responsibility and agree to pay to CC for all fees and trade dollars owed.

Direct trades between members without the use of CC trade dollars are prohibited. Member agrees that CC will charge their normal commission on any direct trade transactions.

CC has the authority to charge member's account for purchases made from CC, reciprocal trade companies and members of CC exchange.

For tax purposes, trade is equivalent to a cash sale and subject to IRS 1099B reporting. Members will receive a 1099B at the end of the year reporting their total sales.
4. PROBLEM TRANSACTIONS
Member accepts that CC is a third party record-keeper and administrator of the exchange. Therefore, not responsible for products, services and any other sale or purchase problems between members.

CC is not responsible for collection of trade dollars for sales of members.

CC has the right to reject any transaction that does not conform to required procedures. .
5. FEES
Member accepts that CC charges service fees in accordance with rates in the membership contract or as may be set periodically in writing and delivered to the member. CC may lend trade dollars to its' members and charge trade dollar fees in accordance with credit application rules and fees.
6. CANCELLATION
Member or CC may issue written notice of intent to cancel account at any time. All cash fees and dues billed, plus credit owed become immediately due and payable in cash.

Accounts 60 days past due may be closed by CC at which time trade dollars owed become immediately payable in cash.

CC reserves the right to cancel membership without notice and to terminate members trading privileges for non-fulfillment of any provisions of the trade agreement, or trading policies. Member may request a review by the CC Member Arbitration board.
7. OTHER FINE PRINT
In the event CC incurs any costs or legal fees to enforce any of the provisions of the Trade Membership Agreement or these Trading policies, the Member agrees that reasonable costs or legal fees shall be assessed against them.

CC reserves the right, upon 30 days written notice, to modify its terms, Trading Policies and conditions for trading and accepting new members.

If any term of the Trade Membership Agreement or these Trade Policies is judged unenforceable, it shall not affect the enforceability of the remaining terms.
